Deontay Wilder vs. Artur Szpilka: Fight Time, Date, Live Stream and TV Info. Fight fans, rejoice. This weekend, instead of having to pay the usual pay per view fee to watch premier boxing bouts, Showtime has announced that from Saturday, Jan. 16 through Monday Jan. 18 will be Free Preview Weekend for all of Showtime’s premium programming.
In addition to regularly scheduled Showtime programming, viewers will be able to watch Saturday night’s Showtime Championship Boxing telecast, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, featuring WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder defending his title vs. Artur Szpilka.
Wilder, who has become one of the premier heavyweight fighters in the sports over the last few years, won the title belt after defeating Bermane Stiverne by unanimous decision at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas back in January of last year. Since then, he’s dispatched Eric Molina and Johann Duhaupas, by KO and TKO, respectively, to hold on to his belt.
Wilder sports a perfect 34-0 record and many have him lined up to fight either Tyson Fury, who just claimed the World Heavyweight title from Wladimir Klitschko by unanimous decision in November of last year.
Meanwhile Szpilka, a Polish-born boxer, has only one loss on his record that came at the hands of Bryant Jennings in January 2014.
Szpilka is currently a 6/1 underdog to defeat Wilder and claim the WBC Heavyweight crown.
